Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center and First National Bank of Durango plan to hold a full-day workshop, Introduction to QuickBooks, on Tuesday, Nov. 28,at Southwest Colorado Community College in Mancos.
The short course is $70 for all or $65 for chamber members, according to a press release from Malia Durbano.
It is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes an hourlong brown-bag lunch at noon. The course, taught by CPA,Certified QuickBooks Pro adviser and Fort Lewis College accounting professor Laura E. Hokanson, is designed to help small-business owners track how much money they are earning and spending.
Topics for Quickbooks, an accounting program for small businesses, include: how to complete the setup process; create lists and charts; learn about invoices, cash receipts, basic sales and bill paying; and create a profit and loss report.
