The Journal

Four Corners Community Bank recently added Paul Thompson and John McNeill to its board of directors.

“These two prominent community leaders were carefully selected,” said President and CEO Sheila Mathews. “We feel they will become vital additions to our current team, and their involvement and direction will solidify the bank’s future for years to come.” Both are longstanding bank shareholders.

Thompson is an engineer in the State of New Mexico, and president of Walsh Engineering in Farmington. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from New Mexico State University, is a 35-year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is a member of the New Mexico Amigos. He previously served as president of the API Chapter and the Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico, was a member of the Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission, and past president of the San Juan Country Club. He and his wife, Leslie, have three sons and two grandsons.

McNeill owned a private oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Farmington for over 30 years, until retiring in 2010. He received his dentistry degree from Georgetown School of Dentistry, and did residencies at Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City and at the University of California. McNeill is a current member of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency and the Outdoor Recreation Industry Initiative for the city of Farmington. He is a past adjunct instructor at San Juan College, and served on the board of directors for Farmington Boys and Girls Club. He and his wife, Dorothy, have two sons and one new grandchild.
