The Dolores Ranger District will temporarily close a portion of the Little Bauer loop trail and Forest Road 385-D from the bridge east to Forest Road 385 to public traffic from today through Dec. 15.

The closure is necessary to protect public safety during logging operations underway in the area during this time. The portion of the Little Bauer Trail affected by the closure is the southeast portion from the footbridge across the creek on Forest Road 385-D heading north for about ½ mile to the intersection of the trail that goes east and west.
