Panthers drop to 0-4 in league competition

The Pagosa Springs High School volleyball team on Tuesday beat Montezuma-Cortez in four sets in a conference matchup at the Panthers gym.

With the win, the Pagosa Springs Pirates improved to an 8-2 overall record and 2-2 record in the 3A Intermountain League. The Pirates are in third place in the league, behind 3-1 Alamosa and Centauri.

Montezuma-Cortez slipped to 4-7 overall, and 0-4 in the IML. The Panthers’ losing streak increased to five consecutive losses, and the team sits in last place, behind 2-2 Bayfield.
