Out with the old ...

Southwest Open School disassembled the campus yurt Wednesday because the school plans to break ground on a new health clinic in April. The yurt was home to art classes, which have been moved elsewhere. The school is replacing a 600-square-foot modular clinic on the south side of campus with a new 1,454-square-foot permanent building. SWOS will provide students with limited primary care, dental care and mental health services in the new clinic. Above, Blair Silversmith switches out batteries on his drill while taking down the yurt.
