One person was airlifted for medical treatment after a traffic accident Sunday morning on Colorado Highway 145.

According to a Colorado State Patrol spokesperson, the unnamed victim was airlifted to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango.

A CSP official said the accident occurred about 11:25 a.m. Sunday near mile marker 21 on Colorado 145. The accident involved a pickup truck and a passenger car.

The roadway was temporarily closed.

No additional details were available on Monday morning.
