An open house will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Old Fort Lewis, 19251 Highway 140, in Hesperus.

The event will teach attendees about the programs and resources at the Old Fort and offer tours of the education garden, farm incubator field, the farmer-in-training field, picnic grounds and the historic orchard. There will also be the opportunity to meet local farmers.

Old Fort beef, local pork, salads and beverages will be available, and the Country Store will be open with meat and produce for purchase. The second annual online silent auction will also kick off.
