Veteran reporter Jim Mimiaga has joined the Journal newsroom as a staff writer. After graduating from Fort Lewis College with a degree in political science, he worked as a reporter for the Cortez Journal from 1997 to 2002. He has since written for numerous publications, including the Four Corners Free Press, the Denver Post, and the Durango Telegraph. He has lived in Dolores with his wife Wendy since 1998, and loves to fish, mountain bike and explore the Southwest.
