Panthers freshman led the team in scoring during memorable year

On the heels of one of the best seasons in Montezuma-Cortez girls soccer history, the Panthers earned one more accolade to put the finishing touch on their high-flying spring.

M-CHS freshman Mia Glazner closed out an impactful season with an 3A all-state honorable mention selection. As part of an integral Class of 2028 contribution to the Panthers’ success, Glazner paced the team with 13 goals and four assists from her central midfield position.

The Panthers scored goals in droves throughout their 9-2-3 campaign, surpassing the half-century mark on their way to program securing their best record in over 20 years and a home postseason match in the 3A state tournament.

Glazner featured prominently in the M-CHS attack as the Panthers passed their way through opposing defenses, posting a nine-match unbeaten run in the middle of the season.

All-state selections for each of the four classifications in Colorado high school girls soccer included nominations and a voting process from head coaches from across the state.
