The Montezuma-Cortez School District RE-1 will hold an emergency board meeting to vote on giving Superintendent Risha VanderWey the ability to send schools into remote learning when needed, according to a 5:39 p.m. press release Thursday.
The meeting will take place virtually on Friday at 10 a.m. It can be viewed on the district’s YouTube channel.
Remote learning may be necessary because of workforce shortages or COVID-19, according to the meeting agenda.
