Montezuma-Cortez High School will host a free Veterans Day event on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 418 S. Sligo St. to honor local veterans and their families with a spaghetti dinner and performances by the school band and choir.
Student readings honoring service members will also be featured.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with dinner, followed by the concert and program at 7 p.m. The event is free for all local veterans and their families.
A special slideshow featuring submitted photographs of veterans will accompany the event.
Photographs may be emailed to Principal Jennifer Boniface at jboniface@cortez.k12.co.us ahead of the event for inclusion in the honorary slideshow. RSVPs, including the total number of guests in each party, are required by Friday, Nov. 7, and can be sent to the same email address.
