Mancos LivWell might move to a new site

Town Board approves application, pending state approval
The Mancos LivWell store is along Railroad Avenue, but might move to another site within town.

The Mancos LivWell store might move to a new location in town.

Green Kiwi 5 LLC, doing business as LivWell, recently submitted an application to the town of Mancos to change locations from 449 Railroad Ave. to 40781 U.S. Highway 160. The Town Board unanimously approved the location change for the retail marijuana store at its meeting Jan. 22, although the decision is conditional upon state approval.

“They meet all distance and square footage requirements of the Mancos municipal code,” Town Administrator Heather Alvarez wrote in a staff report. “The business is allowed in the highway business district.”

The Mancos Marshal’s Office also had no objections to the change.

The current location is at the corner of Railroad Avenue and Beech Street, while the proposed site is just north of the intersection of Monte Street and U.S. Highway 160, by the Mountain View Mobile Home Park.

Anna Hatch, an attorney with the LivWell store, declined to comment on the possible move, saying it was an ongoing project.
