Mancos chamber unveils town’s holiday lineup

Movies, dinners and concerts on tap for December

The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the town of Mancos and the Mancos Creative District, have organized a calendar of holiday season events taking place in the area.

The calendar includes events such as concerts by the Mancos Valley Chorus, a maker’s fair for creating holiday crafts and a community Christmas party.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Mancos Valley Chorus concert at 3:30 p.m. in the Mancos United Methodist Church, at 470 W. Grand Ave.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Essence of Healing Open House from 3 to 6 p.m. at 164 E. Frontage St. Hot apple cider, finger foods and desserts will be served.

Friday, Dec. 7

Art Walk Christmas Party from 4 to 7 p.m. in multiple locations downtown, with “Jewelry by Rosa” at Kilgore Gallery, art unveiling at Goodnight Gallery, wagon rides, food and caroling.

Holiday festivities in Pioneer Square, including Rudolph Run from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m., Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6 p.m.

Showing of “The Polar Express” at 7 p.m. in the Mancos Community Center, at 130 Grand Ave.

Mancos Valley Chorus concert at 7 p.m. in the Mancos United Methodist Church, at 470 W. Grand Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Mancos Valley Chorus concert at 3:30 p.m. in the Mancos United Methodist Church, at 470 W. Grand Ave.

Historical Society Christmas Open House from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Mancos Historical Museum, at 145 Grand Ave.

Holiday Maker Fair for make-and-take crafts for kids and adults available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mancos Public Library, at 211 E. First St.

Sunday, Dec. 9

Mount Lookout Grange Community Dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. at 680 Grand Ave.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

Community Christmas Party sponsored by the Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center at 130 Grand Ave.
