Mancos chamber asks businesses to use solar lights on Christmas trees

The Journal

The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce released a news release on Friday asking businesses on Grand Avenue and Main Street to use solar lights on their outdoor Christmas trees.

“Solar lights are available on Amazon in the $10-$15 range and eliminate the need for extension cords, and are safe and green,” the chamber said. “The trees will also need to be weighed down to prevent them blowing over.”

The trees must be erected by Nov. 30 to participate in the annual tree lighting event on Dec. 1, the chamber said.
