Musician Alex Blocker will return to Mancos for a special concert at Mancos Brewing on Friday, June 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Blocker, who is known for his genre-blending style, will bring a mix of R&B, hip-hop and jazz to the Mancos Brewing stage.
Blocker, who is from Chicago, has built a reputation for pushing musical boundaries with his contemporary sound, enhanced by his skill on the violin, according to information detailing the event.
His resume includes performances alongside acts like Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Masta Ace, Gramatik, Boombox and Nappy Roots at prestigious venues such as Ball Arena, Broadmoor World Arena, Taste of Chicago, Bluebird Theatre, Fox Theatre and Chicago State University.
His Chicago roots influence his work as a producer, instrumentalist and vocalist, earning him recognition on the cover of Westword and as “New Colorado Music You Should Know” by 303 Magazine.
