The Mancos Brewing Co. will celebrate its first year of operation with special beer releases, discounted prices and live music on Oct. 1-4.

MBC served the first freshly brewed, licensed and taxed, pint of craft beer legally brewed in the Mancos Valley in September 2014. In its first year of operation, MBC's two-person operation has brewed more than 35 various craft recipes and released five House Beers in bomber bottles for local distribution.

MBC has also contributed to various benefits throughout the Mancos Valley and recently hosted the first annual Mancos Valley Brew Fest, raising more than $10,000 for local nonprofits.

As part of the Rotating Small Batch Series, MBC will tap the kegs on Oct. 2 of a Mild Red Ale brewed with 100 percent Mancos Valley whole cone fresh hops picked from a fence line on Road G and a bourbon oak age version of the Mancos sh'Ale Dark Ale.

Live music with Wake Up Laughing on Friday, Oct. 2 and Kevin Frazier and Last Nickel on Saturday, Oct. 3.
