C/O Survey and Ballot Systems recently mailed ballots to all Empire Electric customers to vote on two directors from Districts 1 and 2 and vote on two by-law changes.

Directors are elected to a four-year term. Please use your right as a member and an American to vote. Mark and sign your ballot and mail it before June 11, as ballots must be received in Minnesota before June 15 to be counted.

In 2003, the Empire Electric membership, by an outstanding majority, voted to initiate term limits of three consecutive four-year terms for directors. If you are not satisfied with operations at Empire, then vote against removing term limits from the bylaws. Management does not own Empire Electric. We, the bill-paying customers, do!
