I don’t subscribe to The Durango Herald to read editorials on the U.S. presidential race, Gaza, Russia, the U.S. Supreme Court, NATO or Colorado representatives for other districts, namely, Ken Buck.

They are little more than regurgitated opinion pieces from National Public Radio, The New York Times, The Associated Press, The Washington Post, and suggest a certain amount of laziness on the part of the Opinion Editor. Please, get out in the community and provide your insight on local issues. Otherwise, why do we need a Durango newspaper?

We can read opinions on national and international issues in the same online sources as you. If you can’t find enough local topics of interest, perhaps the ever-shrinking Herald will cease to fill a unique role.
