The local League of Women Voters will hear an overview of what is new in Colorado and with federal legislation for behavioral health care on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. at the Ponderosa Restaurant in Dolores.

The presenter will be retired District Judge Sharon Hansen who served on the statewide study resource panel for the League of Women Voters of Colorado.

Hansen has said that “Colorado is 52nd (including all states and territories) in its number of inpatient behavioral health beds.” This situation comes after Colorado closed down mental health facilities a few years ago.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting in Dolores.
