Performances will be held Saturday at Cortez church

The Lamp Post Creative Learning Center, created by Nicholaus and Corinne Sandner, will be hosting its first play performances on Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church, 120 S. Linden St., rather than at the Lamp Post’s location on U.S. Highway 160.

Nicholaus Sandner told The Journal that “unforeseen circumstances” led to the change. Lamp Post’s performances of “Finding Nemo Jr.” were originally scheduled for Friday night at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., but because of the change, the show will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. only.

The production of “Finding Nemo Jr.” will mark the culmination of Lamp Post’s first youth summer camp. This two-week camp has served 35 campers, teaching them about theater and preparing for the performance.

Tickets can be found online at Lamp Post’s website, www.lamppostclc.org.
