‘Insufficient studies’ on marijuana, cancer

Can marijuana cure cancer?

According to cancer.org: “More recently, scientists reported that THC and other cannabinoids such as CBD slow growth and/or cause death in certain types of cancer cells growing in lab dishes. Some animal studies also suggest certain cannabinoids may slow growth and reduce spread of some forms of cancer.”

Cancer.org also says, “The American Cancer Society supports the need for more scientific research on cannabinoids for cancer patients, and recognizes the need for better and more effective therapies that can overcome the often debilitating side effects of cancer and its treatment.”

According to cannaorganics.net: “No ongoing studies of Cannabis as a treatment for cancer in people have been found in the CAM on PubMed database maintained by the National Institutes of Health. Small studies have been done, but the results have not been reported or suggest a need for larger studies.”

If it is possible that marijuana and CBDs could be a cure for cancer, then why have there been insufficient studies? The healing powers of marijuana and CBDs need to be researched!
