The Montezuma County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at Hampton Hall in the United Methodist Church, 515 N. Park St. in Cortez on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m.
An ice-cream social will follow the business meeting.
The public is invited to this free event to visit with old friends and to make new ones. Come share ideas and help the Historical Society move forward in its endeavor to create a much-needed museum and learning center. The goal: “Preserving Past History and Culture to Enhance the Future.”
The historical society welcomes memberships, which are $15 for single person and $25 for a business or household. The membership year is September 2013 to September 2014. Memberships may be sent to Montezuma County Historical Society, P.O. Box 218, Cortez, CO 81321.
