High-speed car chase ends in New Mexico

Colorado State Patrol spotted vehicle traveling 116 mph

A high-speed car chase that started Friday in Colorado ended in San Juan County, New Mexico, according to Colorado State Patrol Capt. Adrian Driscoll.

Driscoll said around 11:30 a.m. a trooper spotted a vehicle traveling 116 mph on U.S. Highway 550, near the New Mexico state line.

Authorities pursued the vehicle, which went south into New Mexico.

Driscoll said Friday afternoon the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and New Mexico State Patrol were able to deflate the vehicle’s tires and apprehend one suspect in the car.

Driscoll did not have additional information.
