Mechanical issue with lights to blame
Hesperus Ski Area, 11 miles west of Durango on U.S. Highway 160, announced that night skiing will not be offered tonight (March 11) or March 18.
A mechanical issue with the night lights is to blame, according to a news release, which added that daily operations will proceed as scheduled.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through March 19 (the scheduled closing day).
