The opinion page editor really didn’t address the protesters marching in front of The Durango Herald on Sept. 12, or the countless letter writers pointing out the liberal bias of the Herald.

The vast majority of the editorials that the Herald runs from Bloomberg News, The Washington Post and The New York Times have a progressive theme. An online blog, Complete Colorado, has made the case for the liberal bias of The Colorado Sun, whose news stories run in almost every edition of the Herald.

My personal experience differs with the editor’s claim that the paper will only run letters based on facts. Whose facts? Again, I’m calling for a front page, above the fold editorial explaining the reasoning as to why the Herald has a liberal/progressive bias.
