The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce has a new the HachiSakura Judo Club has become a member of the Mancos valley Chamber of Commerce.

HachiSakura is owned and operated by Jack Varcados, who is offering judo lessons at Mancos High School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

This club is a charter club with the U.S. Judo Association, and liability is covered through membership. Initial visits and classes are open to the public to try it out.

Varcados hopes to increase membership, and is offering a no-fee membership with the Judo Association that will cover student liability.
