God expelled from U.S. schools, sports

In the next few months we all have a decision to make. Who is the right person to lead our nation? When the first settlers came to America they came looking for religious freedom, the right to practice freely the religion of their choice. Our nation was founded and based upon Christian-Judeo beliefs and at the inauguration of our first president, George Washington dedicated this nation to God. Our motto, “In God we Trust,” is imprinted on all our currency. It is through God’s grace that the United States has flourished and become the great nation that it is today.

Over the past few years, we have allowed a very small minority of people to expel God from our schools. Look what is happening now in our classrooms. Our military chaplains have been forbidden to use the name of Jesus Christ when they minister to our men and women in the armed forces. God has been kicked off the athletic fields in schools and in professional sports. Today we read about professional athletes being charged with drug crimes, domestic abuse, even murder.

We, as a people, have turned our backs on God. Look at our world today. Is this what we want for our nation? It will take a very special person to lead us forward and, at the same time, back into God’s good graces. Who is that person?

“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
