If someone offers to set you up a Go Fund Me account, it may be a scam for that person to collect the money for themselves.

This happened to two people that I know in Cortez. This is a fraudulent activity and is currently under investigation.

Meanwhile, the person who is setting up these accounts is free to pursue this means of making money for herself.

It is a shame that this has happened since one of the young ladies just buried her husband at the age of 35 and has four young children to support, in addition to the funeral expenses.
