The drawing for the annual raffle was held March 2, at 4 p.m., at the Recreation Center.

The winner of the Recreation Center Family Annual Pass was Choice Building Supply. The value of the annual pass for a family of four is $429. The second-place prize, a 20-punch pass, went to Suzanne Butterfield, and the third-place prize went to Chuck Forth. Third place is a free consultation and personal training donated by Rayna Hale.

The annual raffle is a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization Friends of Recreation for a Healthy Community, which provides scholarships for persons who can not afford the fees at the Recreation Center.

Two hundred, forty-six scholarships were given in 2017. Scholarship application forms are available at the main desk at the Rec Center. The scholarships are granted to families and/or individuals at the beginning of each month and are granted for a period of three months at a time.
