The Mancos Public Library will hold its annual Christmas Craft Shop on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free, drop-in event lets participants of all ages make and wrap handmade gifts for loved ones before Christmas.
Attendees will create simple projects ready to wrap and place under the tree or in a stocking.
Erin Bohm, youth services manager and children’s librarian, said free events like the Christmas Craft Shop help avoid the expense of commercial gifts while embracing the season’s spirit.
“It is my hope that they also honor the spirit of the season: the joy of giving something fun to someone you love, the importance of being able to provide your family with a special day of abundance and memory-making,” she told The Journal.
No registration is required, and craft supplies will be provided.
