Four Corners Writers to read from new anthology at Sunflower Theatre

Anthology won an award at the 2025 Colorado Book Awards

Readers will hear excerpts from poetry, short stories and essays by Four Corners writers during a reading of selections Dec. 19 from the new anthology, “Four Corners Voices – Volume 2.”

The event is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Sunflower Theatre. Tickets cost $12 and are available online.

The anthology includes work by writers from across the region. Volume 2 follows the first anthology, published in 2024, which won the 2025 Colorado Book Award for best anthology. Copies of both volumes will be sold at the theater by Maria’s Bookshop.

Contributors to the new anthology will read their work. Short story writers include Kim Henderson, David Feela and Kevin Jones; poets Linda Barnes, Kirbie Bennett, Peter Martori, Stephanie Moran, Danielle Emerson, Lawrence Goral and Zoey Yazzie; and essayists Margaret Grayson, Matt Barnes and Mimi Gorman will take part.

The emcee is novelist and Four Corners Writers board member Bethany Turner.

Editors are Gail Binkly (essays), Sarah Carr (poetry) and Chuck Greaves (short stories). The project was supported by the LOR Foundation and the Ballantine Family Fund.
