Four Corners Writers will unveil the cover and announce selected works for “Four Corners Voices – Volume 2,” its second anthology of poetry, essays and short stories, at a public event at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. The event is free and open to the public.

The anthology follows the success of Volume 1, which won the 2025 Colorado Book Award for Best Anthology. Editors Gail Binkly (essays), Sarah Carr (poetry) and Chuck Greaves (short stories) will announce the authors of the 25 poems, 13 essays and 13 short stories selected from 180 submissions. Several authors will also read excerpts from their work during the event.

Four Corners Writers supports local authors through monthly workshops at ZU Gallery and offers presentations on writing craft and the publishing industry. The group aims to foster a supportive network for writers of all experience levels, ages and backgrounds.

The publication of “Four Corners Voices – Volume 2” is supported by a grant from the LOR Foundation and Ballantine Family Fund.
