Fort Lewis players named to All-NFFCC Team

Two Fort Lewis football players were named to the 2015 All-National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter second team on Tuesday.

Junior linebacker Andrew Ike and senior defensive lineman Sione Folaumoeloa were recipients of the award.

Sports information directors and the NFFCC board members voted on the 2015 All-NFFCC Team.

Ike was named to the 2015 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team as well. Ike finished the year with 78 tackles–39 solo–which ranked him 14th in the RMAC for most tackles. He also had three forced fumbles, which was tied for league leaders. Ike also finished the year with two interceptions.

Folaumoeloa finished his senior season ranked ninth in the RMAC in sacks with five and was 16th in tackles for a loss with eight.

Folaumoeloa was an All-RMAC second team honoree and totaled 43 tackles in 11 games, 13 of which were solo.

Senior running back Cameron McDondle and senior defensive lineman Morgan Fox of Colorado State University-Pueblo were named the 2015 NFFCC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

Colorado State University’s punter Hayden Hunt was voted the NFFCC Special Teams Player of the Year, and Troy Calhoun of the Air Force Academy was named the NFFCC Coach of the Year.

The Skyhawks finished the season 7-4 overall and 6-3 in the RMAC. The seven wins and six league wins are the most since 2006.
