A summer solstice celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Center of Southwest Studies museum at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

Attendees will watch the sun paint a spiral on the center’s gallery walls through a window designed by Denver artist Scott Parsons.

The event is free and open to all.
