Food Farm Win Win to raise funds and awareness

The “Food Farm Win Win” campaign aims to raise $25,000 by July 9 for Montezuma and Dolores County food assistance programs to be able to purchase products from local farmers and ranchers through October 2020.

Funds to kick off the campaign have been provided by a $10,000 grant from Help Colorado Now and Montezuma County WIC, as well as over $2,000 from United Way’s Food Security Action Team. Several food assistance groups will participate in raising funds, which will be added to the kick-off funds and allocated equally to purchase food from local farmers, ranchers and other food producers in Montezuma and Dolores counties.

Participating Food Assistance Programs include Mancos Foodshare, Montezuma County WIC, Ute Mountain Ute WIC, Dove Creek ROCK, Dolores Family Center, Good Samaritan, Grace’s Kitchen and Hope’s Kitchen.

Donations may be made online at bit.ly/onwardfoundation or by mail to The Sharehouse, memo “Win Win”, 30-D N. Beech Street, Cortez, CO 81321.
