FireWise hosts a Mitigation 101 Workshop on Friday, Oct. 30 in Montezuma County.
Learn techniques and tools for selecting and removing unhealthy trees and overgrown brush, including field instruction, pile burning, demonstrations, and hands-on learning.
The class will ranging from lessons in home-ignition hazards and fuels treatment on small lots with close neighbors to forest health treatments for large properties.
Cost is $25 for the public and $10 for FireWise Neighborhood Ambassadors. The workshop isl imited to 25 participants.
