The Farmington Police Department is investigating a homicide.

Police were called at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to a home in 2800 block of Parque de Oeste in Westland Park to investigate the “discovery of a deceased individual,” who has been identified as a 34-year-old woman, according to Farmington Police Department Spokesperson Shanice Gonzales.

Police have not release the name of the woman, Gonzales said, “we will release her name in the future.”

When asked if there was a suspect or person of interest Gonzales said the department would not be providing further information into the incident, because it is an “active investigation,” Gonzales said.

Police also are asking anyone with information about the homicide to contact the Farmington Police Detective Division at (505) 599-1005.
