I am writing this letter as one of many disappointed and disgusted observers who watched the Escalate Days Parade in Dolores on Aug. 13.

First of all, the American flag and color guard did not lead the parade. There wasn’t any high school or middle school band and not one single float.

To top it off, the K-9 search and rescue team won the so-called “parade.”

Some long-time Dolores residents said that it was the worst parade ever. The poor excuse of a parade was so bad that many of us will not waste our time next year.
