Parade scheduled for Oct. 2
Montezuma-Cortez High School has announced the theme for this year’s homecoming parade and opened entries to local schools and community members.
The theme is “Rio Nights: Carnival in the Sky.” The parade is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2, with lineup beginning at 5 p.m. on North Park Street.
Entry is free, but the district noted that groups must be approved prior to participating.
Floats and participants may bring candy for children watching the parade, but candy must not be thrown. Groups that wish to hand out candy must provide their own walkers.
