Each year, Empire Electric Association offers $1,000 scholarships for high school seniors planning to go to college and for students pursuing a vocational/technical certificate as a lineman and $500 scholarships for other electrical-related trade. Six scholarships are available for adults who are pursuing further education. Applicants must be EEA members, a spouse or a dependent of a member.

Students may pick up an application from their guidance counselor’s office, Empire headquarters or www.eea.coop. Adult applications may be downloaded at www.eea.coop, or picked up at EEA headquarters, at 801 N. Broadway, Cortez.

Applications must be received by Feb. 15.
