Eli Tomac won the second race at Round 4 Motocross at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania on Sunday, splitting the weekend’s wins with Jett Lawrence, who placed first in the first race of the day.

In the first race, Jorge Prado got out to a good start, but was edged out by Jett Lawrence, who claimed the hole shot. Justin Cooper passed Jett Lawrence early on in the race, but it wasn’t long before Jett reclaimed the lead.

Aaron Plessinger and Hunter Lawrence went after Cooper, with Plessinger passing both Cooper and Jett.

Jett Lawrence stalled his bike, allowing Hunter Lawrence to move into second place. Jett Lawrence, not deterred by the bike’s stalling, passed Hunter Lawrence again before chasing after Plessinger.

“No one can stop him today,” commentators said of Jett Lawrence.

Jett and Hunter Lawrence soon passed Plessinger, placing first and second. Tomac placed fifth.

Though Tomac got a “decent” start in the second race, Cooper took the hole shot with Hunter Lawrence right behind him. Jett Lawrence started around 10th place.

Cooper Webb and a few other riders crashed at the start.

As the rain started falling, Tomac moved to the first place position. Commentators noted that Tomac came out with “beast mode” and “determination” for the second race.

Aaron Plessinger rode in third behind Tomac and Hunter, while Jett slowly worked his way through the field. Jett Lawrence soon passed Plessinger, who got stuck in a rut on the messy and muddy track.

Tomac placed first after a red flag signaling lightning in the area ended the race with seven minutes remaining, and Hunter Lawrence placed second and Jett Lawrence third. Jett Lawrence’s ability to make it into the top three despite his less-than-stellar start made him the overall winner for the weekend, with his brother in second by only one point and Tomac in third by three points.

With this weekend’s results, Jett Lawrence sits in first with 190 overall points, followed by Tomac with 162 points and Plessinger with 156.

The next Motocross race will take place on Sunday, June 29 at The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts.
