The Dolores River Brewery is hosting two bands to celebrate its 16th anniversary.

On Feb. 24, Tiffany Christopher will perform, and on Feb. 25, The Deer will play.

Singer, songwriter and musician Tiffany Christopher has been compared to Adele and Sheryl Crow. She has been building a national following with her blend of rock, pop and blues vocals and versatility on instruments ranging from the ukulele to drums.

Christopher’s performances have been called “a journey into the sublime. She is at once saucy and bold, but also sweet and coy. She embodies pure, unbridled energy and raw talent,” according to her website.

The one-woman band fills her shows with guitar, drums and a singing style that can move in a heartbeat from smoky jazz to urban cool.

“I perform solo most of the time,” she recently told Fusion magazine. “The show is based around a one-woman band setup – kick drum, high hat, piano, guitar, ukulele, pedal board and vocals. I also have guests come to sit in with me and I usually play drums and sing backups for their acoustic performances.”

Christopher has also opened for performers including the Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco and Little Feat.

The Deer has released three albums and were listed by the Austin Music Awards as one of the Top 10 Performing Folk Bands from 2014-2017.

The bandformed around singer-songwriter Grace Rowland Park, a classically trained vocalist from the Texas Hill Country. Their songs have “a dark, folksy feel with unexpected subjects like stalking, drug dealing and murder,” according to their website.

Their 2015 album release, “On the Essence of the Indomitable Spirit,” features special guest Dennis Ludiker from Asleep at the Wheel. Their next album, “Tempest and Rapture” marries moody Southern Gothic and symphonic psychedelia with a side of surf country. Another album is due out in 2018.
