The Dolores Community Center will host an Arts and Crafts Bazaar on July 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event at 400 Riverside Ave. will feature local and regional wares and crafts. The venue will be filled with original and creative one-of-a kind items, said organizer Ruby Gonzales in a May 26 press release.

Vendor booths will be set up indoors and outdoors, and vendor fees support the Dolores Community Center. For information, call Gonzales at 970-882-7717.

Also on July 17, Dolores’ inaugural SummerFest will take place at Joe Rowell Park.

The event features a dog carnival, car show, live music and vendors.

There will be a dog and owner look-alike costume contest, a dog parade and conga line, dog-owner obstacle course and pet vendors.

Cortez Animal Shelter, Obe’s Angels Rescue, and Denkai Animal Sanctuary will be set up to provide information and dog adoptions.
