Distillery presents Lindells, Otis Davis

The Lindells will be joined by Otis Davis on stage at the Mancos Valley Distillery on June 25.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the music starts at 8 p.m.

The Lindells sing of everyday sorrow, joy, loss and triumph. This is intoxicating, deep-rooted music that reveals an enduring sense of people and place, adventure, and the many facets of love.

The husband-wife team of Chris and Kim Lindell, entwine their rich, earthy lead and harmony vocals over superb guitar work and playful back beat rhythms. The guitar-bass interplay highlights their intuitive musicianship and long-creative partnership.

These are lively, captivating song-stories both gritty and joyful. They taught themselves to write songs on ribbon of highway road trips, front porches and kitchens, around campfires with friends and walking long miles of trail in old growth forests, over rocky mountaintops and through the endless desert. The Lindells have played barn dances, opera houses, concert halls and festivals, including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival main stage, and many in-studio performances for community radio stations.

About Otis Davis

The duo of Larry Otis and Stan Davis hits the road again.

Otis has an eclectic style that is hard to pigeon-hole. The Northern California native was heavily influenced by the sights and sounds of the Summer of Love in San Francisco and was a big fan of Elvis and the Beatles. He started his career as a studio musician in LA, playing and touring with Ike and Tina Turner and doing studio time with Commander Cody, Sly and the Family Stone, & Bobby Womack.

Davis is a Colorado native who was raised in a church choir and has a love of almost any music that landed on his ears. His song-writing is the in vein of the late great Guy Clark or Townes Van Zandt. His percussive guitar style is simple yet driving. His vocals are coarse and real. A world of experience in song and story.
