The middle school Destination Imagination team had a grand send off to the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn., on Monday, May 18. The team, Betho Betho, consists of members Ericka Peacock, Morgan Rose, Taeylor Samora, Sarah Skinner, Kensey Switzer and coach Kim Russell. "I am so excited," said Sarah Skinner, an eighth-grader. "But it's going to be hard - we have to compete against 30 other countries and 48 other states." The team qualified for the finals after winning second at the state championship with a humorous skit that also won them the Renaissance award at both state and regionals. The challenges start on Wednesday the 20 and run through Saturday, May 23.
