DAR requests information to place flags at veterans' graves

For the past six years, members of the Sleeping Ute Mountain Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution have marked the graves of veterans in cemeteries in Montezuma County prior to Memorial Day Weekend. Members ask your help in locating these veterans' graves.

If your loved one does not have a veterans marker, please call one of the following ladies before Sunday, May 17 with the information.

Each year about 16 members of the DAR place 300 flags in 17 rural cemeteries. They will make every effort to place the American flag on the requested grave. Plans are to place the flags in the cemeteries the week of May 18.
