Cultural Center would like to thank businesses

The Cortez Cultural Center would like to give a huge shout of THANKS out to New Country Auto of Cortez for sponsoring the Montezuma’s Revenge Chili Cook Off, to Cortez Retail Enhancement for helping get the word out, to Dolores Food Market for helping with the supplies, to Main Street Brewery for the donation of beer and chili, and to all the local businesses who donated items to the silent auction, including: Baymont Inn and Suites, Notah Dineh, Main Street Emporium, Cortez Quilt Company, Ju Ju Hangings, Cliffrose on Market, Camp Critter, Aunt Patty’s Rag Doll, Moose & Moore, Kingman Fine Colorado Wines and Trimble Hot Springs. We are also grateful to the folks who entered their recipes, to the Western Music Association for providing entertainment, to the Pinon Project for providing games, to our official judges: Orly Lucero, Taz Vass and Jose Ryena - and to everyone who came out and had a good time! And congratulations to Rosa Sabido (Best Green), Pam Krebs (Best Red) and Main Street Brewery (People’s Choice), winners of the 2017 Montezuma’s Revenge Chili Cook Off! We can’t wait to see who wins next year!
