Applications are open for the 2026-27 school year

The Credit Union of Colorado Foundation will invest $50,000 over two years in scholarships and student success programs for Colorado community college students.

The funding will support programs during the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years.

“By investing in community college students, we are reducing financial barriers to education while helping develop the skilled workforce Colorado needs for long-term economic vitality,” foundation President and CEO Phil Smith said in a news release.

The scholarships will assist full-time and part-time students working toward a degree, certificate or transfer program who meet residency requirements across the Colorado Community College System. A portion of the funding will support Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative – matched awards for students pursuing degrees in in-demand career pathways, the news release said.

Applications for 2026-27 scholarships must be submitted by Sunday, April 26. Details and application materials are available at www.cccs.edu/foundation/apply-for-scholarships/.
