Colorado Parks and Wildlife will hold a public meeting to discuss long-term budget issues that stand to change how parks and wildlife in the state are managed at 6 p.m. Sept. 25, via teleconference at wildlife service centers in Durango, Montrose, Gunnison and the San Luis Valley.

The teleconference will be offered at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office in Durango, at 415 Turner Drive.

CPW officials will explain the agency’s current challenges, present ideas to remedy budget problems and provide the public an opportunity to participate in solutions as they develop.

An update about regional hunting, fishing and activities will also be given in a round-table format.

Those unable to attend the meeting can view an online presentation, which will detail financial challenges and the proposed increase of hunting and fishing licenses, at cpw.state.co.us/aboutus/pages/future-conservation-recreation.aspx.
