I can’t begin to imagine what our City Council members were thinking! First, the extension of Seventh Street from Madison to Sligo. The only stop signs on that entire street are on either side of the old high school. That opened up our street for speeding cars.

Now, they are going to extend it once again from Sligo east. The comment was something to the effect of easing the traffic from Main Street! Did anyone think to talk to any of the residents that live on Seventh Street? We can hardly get out of our driveways now because of the traffic, and once the street is extended, it will be a race track (which it is becoming now).

And, did they talk to any of the business owners on Main Street? I bet they will be thrilled that the city is diverting their potential customers!

All we need is for more businesses to have to close because of decisions by City Council.
